The Hobrojollen is a small dinghy designed by the Danish maritime architect Svend Aage Pedersen in the early seventies. The Hobrojollen is built by Farsø Glasfiber.

Hull

Both the hull and the deck is made of hand laid fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of hand laid fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season. And outside the sailing season, just bottom cleaning and perhaps anti-fouling painting once a year - a few hours of work, that's all.

Interior

The interior is like nearly all boats made of wood.
The boat is equipped with 2 berths.
Note: the boat has also been sold to be self-made/-interiored, which means that the quality of each boat may vary.

Keel

Hobrojollen can sail close to the beach as the draft is just 0.38 - 0.48 meter (1.25 - 1.55 ft) dependent of the load. See immersion rate below.

Engine

The fuel tank which is made of fibreglass has a capacity of 15.0 liters (3 US gallons, 3 imperial gallons).

Immersion rate

The immersion rate is defined as the weight required to sink the boat a certain level. The immersion rate for Hobrojollen is about 67 kg/cm, alternatively 375 lbs/inch.
Meaning: if you load 67 kg cargo on the boat then it will sink 1 cm. Alternatively, if you load 375 lbs cargo on the boat it will sink 1 inch.
