The Scand 8600 Dynamic is a motorboat designed by the Norwegian maritime architect Alf Jensen in the late eighties. The Scand 8600 Dynamic is built by the Norwegian yard Scand Boats A/S.

Hull

The hull is made of hand laid fibreglass while the deck is made of fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of hand laid fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season. And outside the sailing season, just bottom cleaning and perhaps anti-fouling painting once a year - a few hours of work, that's all.
The hull is a double hull which improves the indoor climate. Especially when the water is colder than the air in the cabin, then the double hull insulates against cold water and reduce the condense water in the cabin.
The deck is a double deck which improves the indoor climate.

Interior

The interior is like most other boats made of teak.
The boat is equipped with one cabin, 3 berths, a galley and toilet facility.

Keel

The boat can enter even shallow marinas as the draft is just about 0.80 - 0.90 meter (2.62 - 2.92 ft) dependent on the load. See immersion rate below.

Engine

Scand 8600 Dynamic is typically equipped with an inboard Volvo Penta AQ AD41 DP engine at 200.0 hp (149 kW).

The transmission is a Z-drive.

The fuel tank which is made of aluminium has a capacity of 350.0 liters (92 US gallons, 76 imperial gallons).
